Race Against the Reich

Why is telling the stories of ‘ordinary’ people in history important?

My hopes to get proper recognition for a remarkable man who saved more then 1,400 lives in 1944.

And the honour and privilege one feels to interview war veterans.

These questions and thoughts were all part of my discussion with the Tattooed Historian, a great communicator whose podcast deserves to be shared far and wide.

His interest and incisive questions helped me through a great chat on a day when I wasn’t feeling too great.

Thanks, John.

Please have a listen. I think it makes for a fascinating chat about resistance, the wartime experience of air crew, and the importance of keeping these wonderful stories of heroism alive.
